‘Theory of Constraints: A Science of Management’

From Chaos to Success
.
.
.
.
That was the title for Library’s latest session on the Theory of Constraints led by our esteemed speaker Aniruddha Joshi.

Revisiting my first encounter with TOC through Eliyahu Goldratt’s “The Goal,” it was inspiring to see how these principles continue to drive significant improvements and better decisions in various fields.

Here are my key takeaways

– There will always be constraints. No matter how big or good your organisation is. What can set you apart is how you identify and exploit that constraint.
– The 5 steps in the process of ongoing improvement(POOGI) can help you with that
– Overcome the perception that reality is complex. Every situation is simple (governed by a few leverage points)
– People are good. There is always a win-win situation

Thank you Aniruddha for the wonderful session and thank you to everyone who attended.
